Community Relations
Osceola County School District
817 Bill Beck Boulevard
Kissimmee, FL 34744

Communicating with the parents of our students, our school district employees, and our
Osceola County residents and taxpayers is critical as our schools work towards building
a strong constituency of supporters and strive towards increasing student achievement.
After all, when children, parents, educators, and the community work as a team,
students succeed!
Our goal is to keep Osceola County residents informed about the School Board of Osceola County, the Osceola School District, and the individual public schools within the district. The department coordinates the district's Media Relations in the spirit of open, transparent communication. Staff members respond to daily requests from reporters and other media representatives for information and interviews about district programs, policies, and activities. News releases about district events and accomplishments are distributed to the media and posted to the district's web site.

The department also coordinates the district's Community Relations by assisting with district-wide and school-specific communication to parents via recorded telephone messages about emergencies and announcements; creating and distributing letters, flyers, and other publications to parents about events and issues; responding directly to inquiries from parents and other community members; and planning and coordinating meetings, events, and other forums to maintain a continuous dialog between the community and the district. The district website is updated regularly to include the latest information about district departments, programs, and initiatives.
The department also works to make Employee Relations a priority as it increases ownership in the district, builds trust, creates goodwill ambassadors, and fosters a positive environment for education.
