Software Selection
Schools and departments of the District of Osceola County are encouraged to responsibly select new software applications for purchase. Since many factors must be considered, the Media and Instructional Technology Department has provided a listing of Approved Software that is currently in use within the district. With this information, instructional and paraprofessional staff can share ideas and opinions based on experience with curriculum integration goals or technology management. The approval of a new software application will set the standard for the users across the district.
The Software Evaluation Committee functions at the district level to process requests by schools or departments to purchase new software applications. The Software Selection Guidelines assist in providing criteria to consider when applying. The five essential forms to be completed and submitted to the committee are listed below.
