The Florida Digital Educator Program in Osceola County

The Florida Digital Educator Program (FDEP) is for teachers who support integration of technology across the K-12 curricula through collaborative experiences with new technologies and digital tools.  The program has helped build a common vocabulary across the state of Florida and has impacted our teachers and students in Osceola County.

Investing in teachers to impact student learning is the main goal of the FDE Program.  Students in this 21st Century are hungry to utilize the tools of technology in their school and home environment. Our FDEs join other FDEs across the state to lessen the digital divide.  As our teachers become more comfortable with technology, they are more likely to allow students more time and opportunity to use technologies.  As students are given more encouragement and equipping, they are empowered to be creative, engaged and even entrepreneurial in their education.
