Superintendent's Employee Recognition Program

The district’s Superintendent’s High Five Employee Recognition Program pays tribute to those outstanding Osceola School District employees who support the goals of the school district and demonstrate exceptional performance. While it is impossible to recognize every well-deserving employee who fits the above description, the intent is to identify, select, and celebrate staff members who epitomize the image of a high-quality Osceola  School District employee.

The High Five program centers around the district’s five strategic goals:
--Student Achievement
--Instructional/Professional Support Training
--Safe and Caring Environment
--Efficiency and Fiscal Responsibility
--Technology to Increase Communications and Productivit

Anyone can nominate an employee for the High Five program. People who are nominating will be required to provide specific information on how their nominee has helped the district reach its goal. To find the nomination form, click here and then fill out the information requested.

Every nominee will receive a certificate/note from the Superintendent letting them know that they were nominated. Every person who takes the time to nominate someone will also receive a note thanking them for recognizing a co-worker.

Two High Five winners will be selected on a monthly basis by a committee of employees representing different areas of the school district. The Superintendent will make surprise visits to each winner’s worksite. Winners will be awarded a prize package with items donated by our community businesses.

New for the 2014-15 school year, the employees who nominated the two monthly winners will receive a gift card for lunch on us!

We are proud to introduce the School District of Osceola County’s new single-sign–on system known as the Portal for Student Success. The portal currently has a link to the Professional Development site where users can find training opportunities and sign up to attend them. The professional development site, “My Professional Growth System” (MyPGS), is available for all district employees.

Upcoming features on the Portal will include links to the gradebook, curriculum planning, student assessment, teacher assessment and teacher portal. All of this functionality will be available with only one sign-on thus reducing the number of passwords you need to remember. Training in the various modules has begun and will be shared with all user groups as we near deployment of the various sections.

You may access the system by visiting the Homeroom link at:

Use your Active Directory login utilizing the same username and password that you use when you log on to your district computer. You may want to bookmark the homepage site for future reference.
