Partners In Education
Our Partners in Education Program encourages the contributions of businesses and civic organizations to our schools. Partner activities include financial contributions, in-kind donations and services, sponsorship of events and awards, attendance and academic incentives, employee volunteer release time for volunteering and mentoring, and more. In turn, schools offer the businesses what they can in order to make the partnership truly beneficial for both partners. No business or organization is too large or small to serve as a partner. Partnership may be with the entire school district, one or several schools, or even with one particular classroom.Through the Osceola Partners in Education Program, our community is making a positive difference for Osceola's children. Become a Partner in Education and help make students' dreams come true.

A Gift for Teaching

A Gift for Teaching (AGFT) would not exist without the generosity of the Central Florida Community. Through AGFT everyone has the opportunity to positively impact the life of a local student in need.Financial support from the community allow us to provide basic school supplies, like pencils, crayons, and books along with incentive items, book bags, art activities, and stickers to students who do not have the ability to purchase these items themselves. Each dollar you donate to AGFT allows teachers to take $10 worth of supplies back to the classroom. Please consider making a tax deductible contribution today by fill out a Donation Request Form.

Your product donations help keep our Free Store shelves stocked with supplies that our teachers and students need most such as pencils, pens, paper, and crayons. However, some of our more popular items are very non-traditional items like wrapping paper, carpet samples, traffic cones, and travel maps that can be used creatively in learning environments for students.

Bookmark Buddies

Osceola County’s third graders need your help! The Bookmark Buddies Mentoring Program is an exciting opportunity for parents, local businesses, civic organizations, and other concerned community members to become involved with the Osceola School District and make a difference in the life of a child. Third graders in Osceola County need your help to practice and improve their reading skills before the important FCAT testing each spring. Bookmark Buddies can mentor at any one of the twelve local elementary schools listed. The mentors meet thirty minutes a week, one-on-one with a third grade student who is reading below grade level.

All mentors are trained at each school before starting to work with a student. No prior tutoring experience is necessary. All of the tutoring materials are provided, making for an easy and fun volunteering experience. Bookmark Buddies mentors build strong friendships with their students and take great satisfaction as their readers begin to gain confidence and improve their skills. If you would like to become a Bookmark Buddies Mentor contact the Education Foundation at 407-870-4855.
